Holdsworth House Accommodations, nestled in Digby in the Fundy Shore and Annapolis Valley region of Nova Scotia, is a restored, circa 1784 Loyalist home that allows you to experience life first-hand as it was for the early Canadian Settler. Be prepared to leave the 21st Century behind and return to life as it was in 18th-Century Nova Scotia. Learn about soap- and candle-making, as well as herbs and wild flowers harvested for household purposes.

During your stay at the Holdsworth House, you will find that the local area offers many things to do and see. There is the Admiral Digby Museum located on Montague Row where there are rooms filled with exhibits of local history. There you can enlist the help of an informative staff to research genealogy and history of the region. Visit the Trinity Anglican Church, located on Queen Street; built by shipwrights in the 1800s, one can appreciate by the hull-shaped design of the ceiling. If you are looking for some local writings, pay a visit to the Crooked Timber Bookstore, located on Water Street, with a section dedicated to Digby and Nova Scotia. Walk down to the fishing wharf and watch the fishermen unload their daily catch of lobster and scallops that are world-famous to the region.

Digby also has a market offering goods made by local artisans and crafters. The town of Annapolis Royal, settled in 1605, is just a 20-minute drive away. Here you will find the French Fort of Habitation (Port Royal), a reproduction of the original fort built in 1605. Fort Anne is located in the town itself, and there is a farmers’ market every Saturday. The challenging 18-hole, championship Stanley Thompson golf course at Digby Pines Golf Resort allows you to appreciate the true beauty of Nova Scotia for your golfing pleasure.

Our accommodations include 3 bedrooms (Single bed, Double bed and Queen bed available) each with a private ensuite bath (3-piece and 4-piece). There are two parlours for reading and relaxing, or maybe taking part in an old-fashioned parlour game. A full breakfast is served; cooking demonstrations are offered. Expansive views of the Annapolis Basin. Guests can take advantage of the gas barbecue, or simply relax in front of the fire.
