The Flying Apron offers private group cooking classes in our gorgeous Cookery School. Assemble a group of 6-10 people, select a class from our extensive list and we will provide all the ingredients for a fun group getaway! You simply show up and enjoy the class! Choose a Demo class where Chef Chris Velden prepares the menu or a Hands-on class where you work together to prepare the feast. Both class options include a full meal (3 courses) and copies of the recipes to take home. Our cooking classes are led by Chef Chris Velden. Chef Chris is a European trained Master Chef with a passion for culinary education. Our classroom is licensed so you may order something from our well-curated beverage list to enjoy during class. A minimum of six participants is required (or pay the equivalent class fee for six) and the maximum is ten people.
This group getaway includes overnight accommodations in our charming inn. Accommodations include a hot, fresh breakfast in our restaurant the next morning. Our 4-star inn offers five guest rooms and each room has its own ensuite bathroom. Available room arrangements include two rooms with a queen bed and three rooms with a king bed. In two of the rooms, the king bed may be converted to 2 twin beds for an additional fee.
Our private cooking classes are perfect for celebrations, bachelorette parties, a weekend getaway with friends or a unique corporate event. We partner closely with other local businesses and can give you recommendations of things to do while you're here including winery and brewery tours. Nova Scotia wine, beer or cider pairings during the class are available for an extra fee.

At the Flying Apron, We Do Local! Our restaurant features a new menu each week based on what is in season and available from our local, small-scale producers. We also offer a great selection of local beer and wine and gorgeous house-made desserts. While you’re here enjoy our licensed seasonal patio, gourmet food and gift shop, art gallery, cooking school and used book store. Our charming, 4-star inn features five well-appointed guest rooms with ensuite bathrooms, lovely gardens and cozy common rooms for your enjoyment.

Conditions: Package includes cooking class (instruction, a full meal and recipes to take home), accommodations (double occupancy) and breakfast for 6 people. Class rates change depending on type of class selected (hands-on or demo), room rates change seasonally.
Class and accommodations for up to 10 people are available with this package at an additional cost.
