Look no further than The Flying Apron for your next culinary adventure. This exclusive experience is the perfect gift for the foodie in your life. The adventure starts with a private cooking class for 2 people with Chef Chris Velden. You choose a seasonal menu for this hands-on class and work with Chef Chris to create an amazing 3-course meal from the freshest local ingredients. In addition to copies of the recipes to take home, each participant gets their very own Flying Apron Cookery apron.
Our cooking classes are led by Chef Chris Velden. Chef Chris is a European trained Master Chef with a passion for culinary education. Our classroom is licensed so you may order something from our well-curated beverage list to enjoy during class. After your private class and meal, retire to your lovely Inn room for the night. Our 4-star inn offers five guest rooms and each room has its own ensuite bathroom. Start the next morning with a fresh, hot breakfast in our Restaurant. Before you leave, browse our Gourmet Food Shop for treats to take home and look for your next favorite cookbook in the Used Book Store.
We partner closely with other local businesses and can give you recommendations of things to do while you're here including winery and brewery tours. Nova Scotia wine, beer or cider pairings during the class are available for an extra fee.
