Description

24x award winners and 2019 JUNO Breakthrough Group of the Year and CCMA Group/Duo of the Year, The Washboard Union will be making a stop in Truro on Saturday Oct 26th at the Rath Eastlink Community Centre! They have defied classification and continue to be one of the most talked about bands in Country music. Led by step-brothers Aaron Grain, Chris Duncombe and their best friend David John Roberts, The Washboard Union share an innate love for the art of songwriting and storytelling that has resonated with audiences from North America to Europe. Certified Gold in Canada, their Top 5 hit “Shot of Glory” and several Top 10 hits including “Maybe It’s the Moonshine” and “Shine” made them the first country band to ever win the JUNO Award for Breakthrough Group of the Year; a multi-genre category.

“The Washboard Union is a band that cares deeply about their fans, and anyone who has seen them live knows that they will raise the roof of the arena and engage with their audience at every opportunity.” - says Matt Moore, RECC General Manager.

The Washboard Union have shared the stage with Old Dominion, Keith Urban, Reba McEntire, Dwight Yoakam, Jason Aldean, and on Oct  6th they have invited Maritimer Tristan Hornscastle to open the night. When you hear a Tristan Horncastle song, whether it’s the Friday night anthem “She Brings The Beer” or the yearning “You Want,” you’re hearing his life. With the Canadian radio success of his Top 5 selling debut album “A Little Bit Of Alright” having established Horncastle as an undeniable breakout artist, he’s eager to share more of his life with Turnin’ Up A Sundown and soon to be released new album.
