Description

The Deep Roots Music Festival takes place September 26-29, 2019 in Wolfville, Nova Scotia and surrounding areas.

2019 marks the 16th year of the Deep Roots Music Festival experience in Wolfville and the surrounding area of Nova Scotia's Annapolis Valley.  The Valley and Town are known for their hospitality, agricultural heritage, arts and music scene.  The Festival is held each year during the last weekend of  September during the vibrant harvest season and visitors enjoy stunning landscapes and explore a rich history involving First Nations, Acadian French, and the Planters.  They can partake in an abundance of wonderful restaurants, shops and accommodations, as well as a flourishing arts community and one of the liveliest Farmers’ markets in the province. The area is also one of the most exciting wine growing, craft beer and cidery regions in the country.   With the picturesque university town of Wolfville, and the natural surroundings of the Annapolis Valley and the Bay of Fundy as a backdrop, the Deep Roots Music Festival brings together a blend of local, national and international songwriters and musicians for a weekend of musical celebration.

The Deep Roots Music Festival features several concerts across multiple soft seated / air-conditioned venues. We also provide access to free music at our centrally located Clock Park location as well as during the Wolfville Farmers' Market held on the Saturday morning of the event. There is fun for the whole family with our "music in schools" program held during the week running up to the Festival, children's music workshops, costume making, drumming, dance and our Fresh Beats Rhythm Parade on the streets of Wolfville happening Saturday at noon. We also present a family centred afternoon on Saturday with a concert and puppet show at the Clock Park location. On Friday and Saturday nights, we provide live music at local pubs and at the Wolfville Farmers' market where guests are welcomed to two late-night licensed dances.

The line-up for this year's Festival will be announced in June.  Until that time you can purchase 3-day early bird passes at more than a 30% discount.

A Festival Pass gets you into all the Festival Theatre main stage shows, afternoon collaborations, and access to the Festival Club as ‘home base’ for the weekend.

Tickets are available on-line through http://deeprootsmusic.ca/ and at any TicketPro outlet.
