Shelburne Founders' Days is an annual event celebrating Shelburne's rich and diverse heritage and culture. Visitors can take part in or observe events depicting the founding of the town and the early years of settlement at the Native and Loyalists' encampments, or in the museum complex, Museums By-The-Sea. Local music and entertainment is featured throughout the weekend on the historic waterfront. Signature events include the Regimental march-pass, the largest fireworks display in Nova Scotia outside of Halifax, and the evening procession of beautifully lit fishing and pleasure boats called the Parade of Lights.
