Paint Peggy's Cove - Peggy's Cove Area Festival of the Arts
Peggy’s Cove, South Shore
T: 902 225-5199
It is no wonder that so many artists live and work along the coast of Nova Scotia where they derive inspiration and rich subject material for their art.
This year’s fun three-day event highlights the beauty of the shorelines, towns, fishing villages, and heritage of Peggy’s Cove and surrounding areas. Artists from several provinces will be bringing brushes, oils, watercolours, pastels, pencils and setting up on the rocks, wharves and park areas to create new works inspired by this unique Nova Scotian community.
Soak up the process, and fall in love with a painting! This is an opportunity to watch artists at work and to talk to them about the artistic process.
Artists will be on site all three days: Saturday 13th, Sunday 14th and Monday 15th of July, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Once complete, each day’s works, as well as studio pieces by the same artists, will be on view and for sale in a large Mongolian yurt (round tent) located a short walk from the Peggy’s Cove lighthouse.
The children’s art tent is located next to the yurt in Peggy’s Cove, will offer free creative activities. Demonstrations by local artisans will be also be scheduled.
For more information, view the Peggy’s Cove Area Festival of the Arts website.
Admission: Admission is free. Paintings are for sale in the yurt located in the centre of the Peggy's Cove village.
