 | | Pier 21 National Historic Site will become Canada’s National Immigration Museum. Over 1.5 million individuals passed through the doors of Pier 21 between 1928 and 1971. |  |  | | The “Rendez-vous de la Baie” Art Gallery and Café opened in October. The Art Gallery and Café are the first of a six-part project located within the “Rendez-vous de la Baie” complex in Church Point. The remaining features of the centre cons isting of Acadian Interpretive Exhibits , Visitor Information Centre, Cinema, Craft Boutique and Meeting Room are scheduled to be completed by May 2010. Located on the campus of Université Sainte-Anne, the building has a distinctive bright red roof, topped by a unique hand-crated weathervane in the shape of an Acadian flag. |  |  | | While visiting Grand-Pré National Historic Site during the summer of 2009, visitors experienced a 20 minute theatrical performance entitled Life in the Early Days at Grand-Pré. Based on historical facts and real people, the play reveals aspects of Grand-Pré that are not generally known. Performances in 2009 ran from Thursday to Sunday with six performance daily - three in English and three in French.
