There is no better way to experience the spectacular sites and atmosphere of Lunenburg’s historic streetscapes and working waterfront than on foot. Lunenburg Walking Tours was created to offer visitors to our UNESCO World Heritage Site town – one of only two such urban sites in North America – an educational and entertaining directed walk through history. Co-owners/operators Shelah Allen and Ashlee Feener, both from founding families, artfully weave historic facts into a tapestry of authentic tales and personal stories that are sure to delight visitors.
There are plenty of hills in Lunenburg, but our routes are selected to minimize steep rises and are always at a gentle stroll pace, suitable for most folks with average mobility. We are happy to walk rain or shine, unless there is a fear of drowning in the deluge! We operate year-round, by appointment, with our regular schedule in place from May 17 to October 24. For more information on our schedule please refer to our tour calendar: www.lunenburgwalkingtours.com/tour-calendar
Our Anchor Tours are offered on a regularly scheduled basis from May 17 to October 24.
