Overview

Opened in 1819, Province House is Canada’s oldest legislative building and is home to Canada’s first elected House of Assembly.

Designated both a National Historic Site and a Provincial Historic Site, visitors are welcome to explore its history, art, and architecture during their visit where they will see the building’s two distinct styles of architecture: Regency and Victorian.
