Description

180-acre park. Site of Nova Scotia’s 1861 Gold Rush and the famous “ovens,” or sea caves. Hike along the spectacular coastal cliffs and nature trails. Experience the resounding boom created by waves entering Cannon Cave. Pan for gold on the beach. Small museum, playground, pool, animal farm; kayaking available. , Restaurant and takeout; live music nightly in Jul & Aug. Annual Chapin Family Concert by the Sea, a tribute to Harry Chapin by his musical family and friends (Aug 19–21 in 2016).
