Description

The Ovens Natural Park is an 180-acre park and site of Nova Scotia’s 1861 gold rush where today you can still see the famous “ovens” or sea caves. 

Hike along the spectacular coastal cliffs and nature trails. Experience the resounding boom created by waves entering Cannon Cave. Pan for gold on the beach. The park also includes a small museum, playground, pool, animal farm; kayaking available. Restaurant and takeout;.

Live music nightly in July & August. Annual Chapin Family Concert by the Sea, a tribute to Harry Chapin by his musical family and band (Aug 18 in 2018).
