Description

Visit the Fundy Tidal Interpretive Centre in South Maitland and learn about the famous Bay of Fundy tides, the highest tides in the world, and the unique Tidal Bore. The Interpretive Centre has staff and interpretive panels to tell you about the "reversing river" and the Tidal Bore,  displays explaining the rich heritage of the area, and free Wi-Fi. Our tidal Observation Deck offers a spectacular view of the Shubenacadie River and its red clay cliffs. Other area features include a nature park with trails, bird and eagle watching areas, as well as a marsh and pond system. The Fundy Tidal Interpretive Centre is East Hants' only visitor information centre. Bus tours are welcome.
