Description

The Arisaig Lighthouse is a replica of the original Arisaig Point Lighthouse, which burned in the early 1930s. Interpretive panels are located on rocks around the Lighthouse which tell the story of the historic fishing community of Arisaig.

The Lobster Interpretive Centre displays information on the local lobster fishery. Exhibits include preserved lobster specimens and videos on lobster life cycles.

Visitors can dine onsite at the Dockside Tea Room. Guests have a choice of seafood specialties, including fishcakes and fish chowder. Brunch is served Sundays from 10am-12pm.

Arisaig is located in Antigonish County on the Northumberland Strait. Local crafts are for sale in the Beachcombers Crafts and Treasures shop. Bus tours are welcome.
