Experience an incredible fusion of heritage and gardens in Annapolis Royal as you explore the beautiful 17 acre Historic Gardens, recently rated as A Top 5 North American Garden Worth Travelling For! In a tranquil setting overlooking a tidal river valley, the Historic Gardens showcases  gardening methods, designs and materials representing more than four hundred years of Canadian history. Highlights include the largest rose collection in Eastern Canada, a reconstructed 1671 Acadian House and much, much more.

The 17 acres Historic Gardens in Annapolis Royal are a gardener’s paradise and a photographer’s delight! The rhododendron & azalea collection at the Annapolis Royal Historic Gardens is a June highlight. It is one of the premiere collections in Atlantic Canada, and one of Canada's Great Garden Gems (Can. Tourism Commission, 2014).

“La Maison acadienne” at the Annapolis Royal Historic Gardens reflects 17th century Acadian life, when the Annapolis Royal area was the Cradle of Acadie.
