The Age of Sail Heritage Centre is a family-oriented centre depicting the rich heritage of the Minas Basin timber and shipbuilding industries. Archives and professionally designed exhibits can be found in the main pavilion, which is a restored Methodist Church built in 1854. A blacksmith shop, as well as the Port Greville Lighthouse (circa 1908) is also part of the Heritage Centre for visitors to explore. Special activities for children are available. In 2012, the centre opened a new building with extended displays, a research area, conservation room and community/multi-media room. On site you will also find a café and gift shop overlooking the tidal Greville River. We are pleased to provide our services in French and English. Age of Sail Heritage Centre is located in Port Greville (Highway 209, 23 km / 14 mi from Parrsboro) in the Fundy Shore and Annapolis Valley region.
