Halifax is a great base from which to explore the rest of the Maritimes and Newfoundland and Labrador. Founded in 1749, the city is known for its historical and cultural significance. The annual Halifax Jazz Festival brings internationally-renowned musical talent to the city each summer, and the harbourfront comes alive courtesy of the International Busker Festival. Visitors can also visit the Titanic Graveyard at Fairview Cemetery, the final destination for many of the ship’s victims. We are close to some of the city's best music and pubs, and some of the best seafood you'll enjoy in Canada. The Saturday Farmer's Market, various grocery stores are all within a short distance.
