Heritage Hideaway Bed & Breakfast was built in 1870 by well-known builder George Canfield and is located in the Halifax Metro region of Nova Scotia. Our central location provides the perfect base for taking day trips to some of the most famous sites in Nova Scotia. We have become a favorite destination for airline travellers to begin and end their visit to Nova Scotia because of the 15-minute hassle-free drive from the Halifax Stanfield International Airport. We are only 15 minutes away from downtown Halifax.
Attractions like the UNESCO World Heritage town of Lunenburg is just an hour away, and a thirty-five-minute drive will take you to the beautiful Annapolis Valley or Peggys Cove on the picturesque Lighthouse Route, where you can enjoy the scenic beauty of bays, beaches and coves. After a day of sightseeing and adventure, guests can relax, unwind and experience gracious hospitality and tranquil ambience at our historically restored bed and breakfast.
Our accommodations include two suites (Queen-sized bed), one ensuite and one private 4-piece bath. We feature Victorian décor and antiques, down duvets and pillows, plush robes, cable television, DVD player and wireless Internet. A bountiful, nutritious breakfast is served at 8 a.m. in the elegant dining room. Guests can gather around the fireplace in the living room with a good book, quiet conversation, or around the piano for a song.
We are included in the Heritage Walk presented by Scott Manor House. We are a proud member of the Nova Scotia Bed and Breakfast Association and the Tourism Industry Association of Nova Scotia.
