Hours Of Operation
Second Peninsula, South Shore
Katharina & Ralph Jost
There is plenty to see and do in the area. The picturesque town of Lunenburg is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The traditional centre of shipbuilding in Atlantic Canada, Lunenburg, as well as the equally delightful Mahone Bay, offers visitors a wide range of restaurants, banks and a theatre. Here you can shop for world-famous Nova Scotia folk art, local artwork and crafts, or enjoy a traditional lobster dinner. Kayak out to greet the seals, watch the deer from your front porch, hike through fields, woods or along the shore, or simply sit in an Adirondack chair, gazing up at the star-filled night.
Our accommodations include a 6-bedroom farmhouse, circa 1850, with twin, double and queen-sized beds and two 3-piece baths with a shower. There are also two 2-bedroom cottages with a 3-piece bath with roll-in shower or a spacious 1-room loft with a 2-piece and 3-piece bath with shower. For your comfort, we have a guest laundry with a washer and broadband Internet service. Bicycles, kayaks, and rowboats are included and available upon request.
As a true Nova Scotian Eco-tourism retreat, 2nd Paradise is proud to be a part of the Green Leaf Hotels program. We are a chemical- and pesticide-free environment.
We are happy to provide service in English, French and German.
