Description

Enjoy a day catching some waves at Nova Scotia's premiere surfing destination, Lawrencetown Beach Provincial Park. Then, head to Shubie Park Campground, a quaint and quiet oasis close to the heart of the city, where your dreamy glamped campsite awaits. Shubie Park Campground is located next to Shubie Park, a 75-acre urban park with beautiful, wooded trails for walking and cycling, as well as a freshwater beach, which is supervised in the summer.

Package Includes:

  • One-hour, private surfing lesson for 2 to 4 people with East Coast Surf School
  • All surfing instructors are certified lifeguards (female and French-speaking instructors are available upon request)
  • 4/3 wetsuits and surfboard rental
  • 2 to 3 nights luxury camping in an East Coast Glamping (ECG) canvas bell tent, which includes beds, ambient LED lighting, bedside table, rug and camp chairs
  • All camping equipment, including luxury bedding, towels, and cooking equipment (cooler, camp stove, dishes and utensils)
  • 2 to 3 night campsite booking at Shubie Park Campground with picnic table, fire pit and shared shelter
  • 'Glamping Essentials' Kit and 'Welcome Pack', including homemade Glamp On Granola, locally ground coffee and a changing selection of locally-made products

Shubie Park Campground is located in a quiet Dartmouth neighborhood and is only a short 20-minute drive from Halifax Stanfield International Airport. It is also about 20 minutes to Lawrencetown Beach. After completing your one-on-one surf lesson, glampers can stay out in the water and practice catching Nova Scotia surf until the beach closes at 6:00 p.m. There's also plenty of hiking and cycling available on the Atlantic View Trail, part of the Trans Canada Trail, which runs alongside Lawarencetown Beach. Don't want to bring along your bikes, we can arrange bike and hitch rental, with delivery to your campsite by Pedal And Sea Adventures.

Earned your appetite? Grab lunch at Heron's Nest Tea Room Restaurant or visit a 'hidden gem' along the eastern shore, La Cuisine de Brigette for an authentic Acadian mid-day meal. Shubie Park Campground is conveniently located close to grocery stores and other shopping.  See our blog for recipe and menu suggestions!
