Queens County Seafest is made up of many fun and exciting events.  We have the Shark Derby, the main attraction which involves fishermen and women registering for fishing overnight and/or just for the day to try their hand at catching Shark, Groundfish and Mackeral. The fishing goes on for Friday night, Saturday and Sunday.

The entertainment tent features bands from Nova Scotia and of course,  our own talented Queens County Bands.

We then move on to the family part of the festival with a full day of free entertainment for children. Teens will enjoy a 'teens  dance' as this was a great success last year and we are building on that by bringing in a few more events for the teens including a Talent show for Friday night. this will include the teens putting together skits, singing, dancing and playing of instruments along with Karoke.

We are proud to work with  community organizations who willl be holding two suppers during the weekend: the United Pilgrim Church potluck on Saturday night and the Anglican Church Ladies Planked Salmon Supper with the assistance of the Queens County Seafest committee.

We also feature a traditional event that is held every Saturday evening and is growing in popularity each year: the Cole Ford Row for Charity. Teams of 6 compete by rowing little punts out and around a larger boat, return and pass a flag to their teammates who then row out and back to the beginning with the  first returning team the winner.  Each team is responsible for selling $200.00 worth of tickets on a prize that is donated by Cole Ford. All monies raised are then given to a Queens County Charity.

Cole Ford offers a shuttle service to the event. Please check our web site for further information and updates. Our festival also invites vendors, artisans, and crafters to attend for their choice of one day or all three days.
