From Where in Scotland-McDonald & Sutherland

I am trying to determine from where in Scotland my ancestors came. My 2nd great grandparents settled in Nova Scotia perhaps as early as the time of the Hector. Robert Sutherland was probably born about 1791 in Scotland, and his wife, Elizabeth Matheson, was likely born about 1808 in Scotland. They may have even married in Scotland but they were living in Nova Scotia by 1840. The other great grandparents were Daniel/Donald McDonald and Isabella Munroe, who were born in Nova Scotia in 1819 and 1828 respectively. It is perhaps one of their parents who arrived on the Hector. Robert and Elizabeth Sutherland's daughter, Jessie was born on August 20, 1840 in Middle River, NS. Dan/Don and Isabella McDonald's son, Daniel Peter McDonald was born on July 1, 1843 in River John, NS. Daniel Peter McDonald and Jessie Sutherland were married on August 1, 1868 in Goldenville, NS. Their first two children were born in Goldenville: Isabella Jane [1869] and Robert Henry McDonald [1871-1872]. Daniel and Jessie McDonald then moved to Westville, NS and had 4 more children: Donald Robert McDonald [1873-1944], Elizabeth Sutherland McDonald [1878-1912], Christine Margaret Agnes [1882-1919] and Janet McDonald [1887-1945]. Daniel and Jessie Sutherland along with their 4 youngest children moved to British Columbia between 1897 and 1901. I found no marriage or death records for Isabella Jane McDonald. Dan/Don McDonald senior may have died in a mining accident in Vale Colliery in the 1870s. I am interested to know more about Daniel & Isabella McDonald and Robert & Elizabeth Sutherland - their lives in Nova Scotia in the 1800s and from where in Scotland they or their parents came.
