John Campbell (b. 1805-6 Scotland) - Cape Breton

My great grandfather, William Campbell was born Feb 1851 in Cape Breton, and was the son of John and Catharine. The 1871 Census shows them in District No.-205 / Sub-District -Sydney / Sub-District No.- g. They were Catholic, and had seven children (Daniel, John, Catharine, William, Landy, Donald, and Mary) at the time of the Census. I'm trying to find any vital records for the family prior to 1871, and immigration info on John from Scotland.
