On Oct 18 I was finally able to get out on the road for a bit of leaf peeping. Left Halifax and didn't see much until the Barney's River/Marshy Hope area between New Glasgow and Antigonish.
The next dramatic area was the hills in the Mabou area and northward. Although quite a few leaves were down from the windstorms, the 'mountains' were still beautiful. They did appear to be nearing the tail end of the fall foliage season.. with numerous gray looking trees mixed in with the colourful trees. All in all it was worthwhile, although I had to drive back at night with pouring rain most of the way.
