Hi Mark,

We are also from Ontario and heading out to Cape Breton this Saturday morning. Have you ever made the trip by car? How many hours does it take you? Where do you leave from (i.e. Toronto? Ottawa?) This is our first so we are trying to figure out real time vs Google.maps time. =)

McLobster...yeah it's real and it's in Nova Scotia!

Yes, it's true you can get a little lobster on the run, but I highly recommend you also take the slow food route. Enjoy the experience at one of our fabulous restaurants, or even get it straight of the boat. Tuck in a bib...no one is looking.

X-country Skiing on the low tide beach

No doubt about it: our Bay of Fundy beaches are well-loved and oft-visited by locals year round. Lovely in the 'fair weather' months, that's for sure, but in winter the snow and tides make for some curious experiences...
