Anticipation is mounting for summer 2015 with golf events such as The Nova Scotia Open, the Web.com Tour’s only official event on Canadian soil, and the RBC Canada Cup that will see Team Canada’s Mike Weir, Graham DeLaet, David Hearn and Team World’s Fred Couples competing for international bragging rights. In what has already being referred to as the "Pebble Beach of Canada" by Links Magazine, the July 2015 opening of Cabot Cliffs, Canada's second true links course, is also causing excitement in the golf world.
The creation of Mike Keiser and Ben Cowan-Dewar and designed by Canadian Rod Whitman, Cabot Links is an 18-hole, par-70 true links course set upon a beautifully rugged stretch of land that runs between the town of Inverness on Cape Breton Island’s west coast and the sand dunes and beaches along the Northumberland Strait.

2015 Nova Scotia Golf Events
The Web.com Nova Scotia Open returns to Halifax July 2-5 in one of 25 Web.com Tour events that will identify the 50 Web.com Tour and PGA TOUR members who earn PGA TOUR cards for the 2015-16 season. Following the Open on July 6, the RBC Canada Cup will feature Team Canada’s Mike Weir, Graham DeLaet, and David Hearn in a head-to-head battle against Team World’s Fred Couples and two to-be-named PGA TOUR stars in a battle for international bragging rights.
The Cape Breton Celtic Classic, taking place September 7-13, is one of the most anticipated tournaments of the year on PGA TOUR Canada. Watch as the world’s top up-and-coming golf professionals converge on Cape Breton in what will be a memorable week of golf.
As the finishing touches are being added to this Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore true links course, located next to Canada’s first true links course, Cabot Links, the anticipation and excitement around Cabot Cliffs is growing. 2015 will offer a preview of the course that is already being likened to Pebble Beach through limited play ahead of the 2016 grand opening.
Called ‘the mountains and ocean course’ by world-renowned designer Stanley Thompson, this 18-hole, par-72 links-style course is fittingly situated on the world famous Cabot Trail within the Cape Breton Highlands National Park on Cape Breton Island.
