Tintamarre of the Festival Acadien de Clare
Church Point, Church Point, B0W1M0, Yarmouth & Acadian Shores
The Festival Acadien de Clare, the oldest Acadian festival in the world, has always been a celebration of Acadian culture and heritage. The Tintamarre, (noise parade), is one of the most popular events of the festival. People start driving from both ends of the region and meet up at Université Sainte-Anne where a music concert ends the night. While driving, the people honk their horn and make the most noise they can in celebration of the Acadian culture. This event is part of the National Acadian Day celebration of August 15th.
