Zappa Charters in Ballantyne’s Cove in the Northumberland Shore region offer an exciting adventure of bluefin tuna fishing by rod and reel with a fighting chair and harness. Our boats are IGFA (International Game Fish Association) equipped; safety of the fish comes first. We supply all things needed to catch the “big one” and we have a 100% catch rate.

Lodging closeby is also available with scenic views of beautiful St. George’s Bay, in a very quiet part of the shoreline.
In September 2011, on one of our Zappa Charters tours, Eyrn Jacobsen of New Zealand sucessfully caught a 911lb bluefin tuna on a 50lb test line, breaking a world record for the largest bluefin tuna caught by a woman.
