See Cape Breton from the water! Join Captain Greg for a unique day adventure sailing on the Bras d’Or Lakes or along Cape Breton’s ocean coast. We offer a variety of ways for you to get out on the water and up-close to the natural wonders at sea and along the shore.

Daysailing charters begin at the St. Peter’s Canal National Historic Site where a tidal lock connects the Atlantic Ocean with the Bras d’Or Lakes. Learn about the 10,000 year history of this important transportation hub that served the Mi’kmaq and their ancestors. Sail the local waters like our earliest explorers and settlers and brush up on your old sailing skills or take a beginner’s lesson during your daysailing charter. Misty Cat, a Nonsuch-class cruising yacht is a safe, comfortable and easy-to-handle boat that beginners and seasoned pros will enjoy commanding. Anchor in a quiet cove for lunch and a swim or try your hand at mackerel fishing before getting some more practice of your new sailing skills.

This is the ‘original green maritime adventure experience’: lots of fresh air, close encounters with marine and bird life, pristine salt water and shorelines while listening to stories and music from our local cultures. Half day and full day group or private charters, tailored to suit your interests, offered daily from June 15 through October 30, by advance booking.

Our High Performance Sailing Experiences offer a couple of go-fast opportunities.
1) Regatta Charter:  Join Misty Cat’s racing crew for a day and compete in one of our area regattas.  You’ll attend the skipper’s meeting, help get the boat ready, spend a few hours on the race course, then join the post-race celebrations. A few weekend regattas are available this summer. Please see our web site for up-to-date information.

2) Olympic Class: This year we are offering those with just a bit of sailing experience to learn on an Olympic class open keelboat. Our new Olympic Class experience is a day-long private lesson with one or two students aboard the 20’ Yngling. Participants will learn about the extended range of sail controls and get comfortable with the tiller and balance characteristics on this high performance racing boat. Available by advance booking, June 15 through September 30.

We are pleased to custom-tailor day sailing experiences for individuals and groups for learning, socializing, and celebrating. Full catering services available. Corporate groups welcome.
