Nova Scotia has a wealth of provincial parks. Some are small picnic areas, and others are large parks with a variety of facilities. Mickey Hill Provincial Park in situated in Lequille (Route 8, 7 km / 4.5 mi south of Annapolis Royal) in the Fundy Shore and Annapolis Valley region. Mickey Hill is a day-use park with a 1-km loop trail and a swimming area. The park features gravelled trails, with boardwalks in rough areas and steep staircases through rocks, and a suspension bridge. Trails are marked with nature interpretive signs. There is a picnic area on the river, as well as an unsupervised beach on lake and vault toilets. Cross-country skiing is available in the winter months. (Please note that there are no facilities in the winter season.) Parking is at the gate only.
