Nova Scotia has a wealth of provincial parks. Some are small picnic areas, and others are large parks with a variety of facilities. Ellenwood Lake Provincial Park situated on Ellenwood Lake in Deerfield in the Yarmouth and Acadian Shores region. This 282 acre provincial park boasts beaches, camping, sport fishing, a picnic park, playground, boat launch and other activities. Ellenwood Lake has supervised swimming in July and August. A 1.5 km/0.5 mi hiking trail within the park is accessible by hikers of all ages and hosts a wide variety of plant life, birds and animals. Amenities include change rooms, vault toilets (in this part of the park), picnic tables, and rest areas. Our campground accommodations include 87 wooded overnight sites (un-serviced). Park amenities include flush toilets, showers, disposal service, fire grills, wood, table shelters, change houses, and ice. Wireless Internet access is available at the administration building only and the surrounding area (please see park receptionist for details). Small unsupervised campers’ beach provides swimming opportunities. Campground Host is on site. Leashed pets are permitted. MasterCard, Visa and Direct Debit are accepted.
