Set your line. Fishing is a year-round pursuit in Nova Scotia. Opportunities to land the really big one extend from the salmon pools of the Margaree to jigging for mackerel from a Cape Island boat. You don’t need a license to fish in tidal or salt water. You do for fresh water fishing. Bag limits apply to both.
