Hemlock Ravine Park in the Halifax Metro region offers 200-acres of wilderness with 4 km of link trails featuring old-growth hemlock stands some of which are over 300 years old and 80 feet tall.   The park is located on Kent Avenue at Princes Walk, off Bedford Highway. Visit Hemlock Ravine for bird watching, observing wildlife, as well as hiking with interpretive panels and a map. There is plenty of parking and there are picnic tables in the summertime. Dog off-leash area is also available. There is no trail maintenance in the winter.
