Nova Scotia has a wealth of provincial parks. Some are small picnic areas, and others are large parks with a variety of facilities. Lake Midway Provincial Park is a small roadside picnic park 29 km (18 mi) west of Digby in the Fundy Shore and Annapolis Valley region. The park is on Lake Midway with picnic tables scattered throughout hardwoods and open fields. Good trout fishing at the right time of year. The park also offers canoeing and kayaking opportunities.
