Nova Scotia has a wealth of provincial parks. Some are small picnic areas, and others are large parks with a variety of facilities.
Graves Island Provincial Park is situated in East Chester, in the South Shore region. Joined to the mainland by a short causeway, the island is typical of many of the small islands found along Nova Scotia's Atlantic coast.
The park offers walking trails; a picturesque area with picnic tables (some covered) scattered through open fields; small cobblestone beach; swimming (unsupervised); boat launch. This quiet oceanside campground has long been a popular vacation spot for Nova Scotians and visitors alike. The park is an excellent location for outdoor adventures including sea kayaking and biking along the South Shore as well as day tripping to the area's many attractions.
Our campground accommodations include 117 open and wooded overnight sites (unserviced). Park amenities include flush toilets, showers, disposal service, fire grills, wood, and ice. Wireless Internet access is available at the administration building only and the surrounding area (please see park receptionist for details). Small unsupervised campers’ beach provides swimming opportunities. Campground Host is on site. Leashed pets are permitted. MasterCard, Visa and Direct Debit are accepted.
