Fox Hill Cheese House is a cheese-processing facility located in Port Williams in the Annapolis Valley crafting over 20 varieties of specialty cheeses, natural yogurt and gelato (Italian ice cream) from our own herd of Holstein cows. While we have no scheduled tours, we encourage you to visit Fox Hill Cheese House and watch our cheese making process (call ahead for our schedule) from our viewing window; sample some of our products (complimentary), and enjoy the panoramic view from our timber frame deck. Our interpretive panels provide our visitors with the history of Fox Hill, our cheese making process and other interesting facts about the diary industry. Group tours by appointment are available (fees apply). You can also visit us at the Halifax Seaport Farmers’ Market at Pier 20 in Halifax. Bus tours are welcome. Direct debit is accepted.

Open year-round: Mon–Sat 10am–6pm, Sun 1–6pm.

Wheelchair accessible.

I think of Pinterest as a wonderful tool for vision or dream boarding. For many of us, our dreams often include travel and adventure. And for those who are part of our Nova Scotia online community, those dreams include a Nova Scotia. And so begins our adventure with Pinterest.

The big camping experience last winter was spending a night in a yurt at kejimkujik national park. The only problem was finding an open weekend to book one of the two Yurts at the park. With time running out, we booked a single overnight in late March at the Eel Weir Yurt.
