Visit the Fundy Tidal Interpretive Centre in South Maitland and learn about the famous Bay of Fundy tides, the highest tides in the world, and the unique Tidal Bore. The Interpretive Centre has staff and interpretive panels to tell you about the ‘reversing river’, the Tidal Bore, as well as displays explaining the rich shipbuilding heritage of the area. Our tidal Observation Deck offers a spectacular view of the Shubenacadie River and its red clay cliffs. Other area features include a nature park with trails, bird and eagle watching areas, as well as a marsh and pond system. Visit the Railroad Museum in an original train caboose which features local lore. The Fundy Tidal Interpretive Centre is a Bay of Fundy Recommended Experience. Bus tours are welcome.
