Waverley Heritage Museum is located in the old St. John the Baptist Anglican Church building (c 1861) in the Village of Waverley in the Halifax Metro region. The museum chronicles Waverley’s history and features gold mining artifacts, the Acadian Powder Mill, school pictures, archival records, sport records, stamp-mill model and a blacksmith tool display.

The influence of the nearby sea is inherent in the style of the museum's charming architecture, due to the naval construction techniques used to evoke the impression of an upside down ship's hull.

Group tours are available. Museum walks can also be arranged which takes visitors to historical points of interest within the village, such as the Acadian Powder Mill. Please contact the museum for a group tour and our museum walks. The museum also hosts guest speakers who provide historical talks and lectures.
