Stories and outright lies told by anyone who would like to participate. No professionals please. Local (Cape Breton) stories would be appreciated but it isn't mandatory. This is a fun event for everyone but some salty language might be used. So make sure younger people are used to that type of language before you attend. There won't be any disclaimers before the story is told.

This event is named after a local Baddeck semi-legend, the late Melvin MacLean who used to give the truth a real good workout. There was never any harm or malice in his stories, just a wink-wink-nudge-nudge.

Saturday August 3rd 2013 from 2 PM until 4 PM at the Legion in Baddeck. Full bar facilities available but no food. (If you want food go to the Lobster Supper next door - open from 4 until 9) There is no admission but a hat will be passed to help defray any costs associated with the event. There will be t-shirts - Cost $15 each.
