The Parkdale-Maplewood Museum located in Maplewood in the South Shore region offers a wealth of local heritage with exhibits showing rural life from 1840 to the present day. Our displays include hand crafts and folk art from local artisans; local industry; our native culture; a collection of household items and tools of the trade. Our Research Centre offers community and family histories, as well as photographs. Visit our Heritage Gardens where you will find many species of trees, shrubs, herbs and flowers, including many historic and native plants. Come and experience our rural heritage! After a tour of our museum, browse through our gift shop where you will find handcrafted items by local artisans, books, a light snack and more. Our museum is an appointed C@P site. Catering is available (with notice). Bus tours are welcome.
