The MaRS festival is the first of its kind on the East Coast celebrating rockabilly music and it's derivatives. The Festival   showcases a fun and family-friendly musical experience. It is an annual event, taking place the weekend following labour day in September.

Rockabilly music pours from Amherst’s Victoria square nearly all weekend, and visitors can stroll through the many vendors selling rockabilly and vintage merchandise, take in the street entertainment, or chill out with a drink and some food in the many surrounding establishments. Classic cars are also welcome to attend the MaRS "Classic Car Show". Whether you’re a rockabilly fanatic, curious about the rockin’ scene, or just want something fun to attend – this event is the place to be.

Most of the festival events are free of charge.
