The Dartmouth Heritage Museum focuses on protecting, preserving and promoting the history of Dartmouth and area. This Museum is located in Evergreen House, a restored Victorian house built in 1867 – a fine example of a mid-Victorian gentleman’s residence in the Halifax Metro region.

The top floor of our gallery hosts ever changing art and heritage exhibitions. With over 14,000 photographs, a rich artifact collection, historic and genealogy files, the Dartmouth Heritage Museum has much to offer research enthusiasts of all ages. The Museum’s archival reference and research services are available by appointment.

Visit our website for details of our upcoming exhibits, school programs and special events. Bus tours are welcome.
