The Annapolis Valley Macdonald Museum is located in the first consolidated school in Canada (1903) in Middleton, Fundy Shore and Annapolis Valley Region. The museum features the Nova Scotia Museum collection of clocks and watches; a collection of local artifacts; a unique natural history display; a recreated classroom and general store; and other historical exhibitions. An art gallery features works by Valley artists, and a research library with extensive genealogical records and local historical information are also highlights of the museum.
