Nova Scotia has a wealth of provincial parks. Some are small picnic areas, and others are large parks with a variety of facilities. Elderbank Waterway Provincial Park is 29 km (18 mi) north of Musquodoboit Harbour in the Eastern Shore region. The park provides a river access point for canoeing and kayaking the lower Musquodoboit River. Picnic tables and parking are also available.
