The Dominion Heritage School House Museum on Cape Breton Island is a schoolhouse (c 1888–1896) with a period classroom portraying various aspects of education in the region. The museum displays depict the history of the town and of coal mining in eastern Cape Breton. Bird watching platforms are on site.
