The Cabot Trail Music Festival is on June 22, 2013 at Cabot Shores, from 10am to midnight. The annual Cabot Trail Music Festival is unique in that it is a festival and also a music "jam" with elements of ceilidh, kitchen party and gathering of musicians and singer song writers.
Last year, the theme was Blue Grass and Folk. Spectators and musicians came from as far as Ireland, representing folk music, bluegrass and the more than occasional original piece by local Capers... Benefitting the Good Health Festival Society (and Breast Cancer Action, Nova Scotia), the festival/jam was part of a monthly series featuring Music, Food, and outdoor walks and adventure.
The format is concert; small groups playing together and showcases. It takes place on the 55 acres of Cabot Shores, right on the Cabot Trail at Indian Brook.
This year groups will include local musicians playing Celtic, aboriginal, folk and blues...It is a great event for folks of all ages and across many cultures. Bring your instrument, whether a fiddle, guitar, harmonica or even spoons...
