When you’re heading for a festival on the Dartmouth waterfront like the Nova Scotia Multicultural Festival, the easiest access from Halifax is via the ferries which drop you off just steps from the Festival. Fare is $2.00, less for seniors and students and the ferry runs every 15 minutes in the summer.
