With so many to choose from, it's no wonder everyone in Nova Scotia seems to think their favourite beach is the best beach around. Of course, the best way to figure out which one is the best is to start exploring them.

My Ocean Playground

Nova Scotia really is my ocean playground. You're never more then an hour from the ocean and there's something fun to do out on the water year round. With unique features like the Tidal Bore in Maitland to the amazing mountains in Cape Breton, five years in Nova Scotia and I am still finding new fun spots.

Wet and Wild

I had typically thought of the Wildlife Park for its variety of birds and animals, but this demonstration definitely gave a whole new appreciation for the smaller, less visible life at the park.

Hiking around York Redoubt

Starting in 1793, York Redoubt was an important defensive piece of the British during its various conflicts with France. With straight line of sight to both the Halifax Citadel and Fort McNab, York Redoubt was the first line of defense as you approached the Halifax Harbour.
