Looking for a full day guided kayak tour with a bit of color? Join renowned watercolor artist Kenny Boone as he teaches you the basics of painting with watercolors on the beautiful beaches of St. Ann’s Bay.

If you have ever wanted to learn to paint but never had the opportunity well here it is. Picture yourself paddling along the picturesque St Ann’s Bay surrounded by eagles, beaches and waterfalls. Now picture yourself sitting by the waterfall or beachside and learning the process of painting gently guided by your host Kenny for the day.

Kenny has been professionally making a living creating for the past 25 years. Kenny teaches art at Cape Breton University and is well versed in getting his message passionately across to his students.

Kenny says, “Over the years I’ve discovered that artistic vision can come from anywhere and at any time. If there’s anything I’ve learned as an artist, it’s to be open to the world around you and concepts for new works will present themselves without effort.”

Included: Canvas & paint supplies, full beachside lunch, kayak guide, kayaking equipment & instruction, and one night's accommodation at a local B&B.

Cost per person $249 + tax.

I think of Pinterest as a wonderful tool for vision or dream boarding. For many of us, our dreams often include travel and adventure. And for those who are part of our Nova Scotia online community, those dreams include a Nova Scotia. And so begins our adventure with Pinterest.

The big camping experience last winter was spending a night in a yurt at kejimkujik national park. The only problem was finding an open weekend to book one of the two Yurts at the park. With time running out, we booked a single overnight in late March at the Eel Weir Yurt.
