Indulge your passion for photography, song writing, or watercolours in one of four multi-day workshops. Experienced instructors, inspiring historic ambience, and campfires by the St. Mary's River included!

Select from one of three learning experiences where you'll be captivated by the beauty of the St. Mary’s River and the historic Sherbrooke Village site with its inspiring stories and wealth of colour and architecture.

SONGWRITING

Improve your abilities in the art, technique & craft of songwriting! There will be sing-a-longs, songwriters’ circles and campfires by the river. This is a great opportunity to work with and learn from talented, well known songwriters. Instructors include Charlie A'Court, Clary Croft, Chuck Brodsky, Michael Johnson, and Doris Mason. Some participants will have the chance to compete for a special performance spot at the Stan Rogers Folk Festival.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Wally Hayes, former photographer for Nova Scotia Tourism, will instruct and guide students in the basic to intermediate aspects of digital photography.

WATERCOLOURS

Susan Paterson will be leading a four day watercolour painting workshop in Sherbrooke Village. The village offers a wealth of material for painting and has inspired Susan for many years. There will be on-site painting throughout the Village as well as interior and still life work. Students will work at their own pace, on the subject of their choice, while Susan guides them in drawing, composition, perspective and colour mixing, as well as various watercolour techniques. Each evening the class will get together for a short critique, conversation and socializing. Early registration is recommended as space is limited. Sign up today!
