Cape Breton Highlands National Park protects 950 km2 (366 sq. mi.) of magnificent highlands and coastal wilderness in northern Cape Breton. The world-famous Cabot Trail weaves through the park. The park offers 25 hiking trails, camping, golf, wildlife, beaches, look-offs, and interpretive programs. The Cheticamp Information Centre offers a large exhibit, a slide show and a nature bookstore. Admission: Park entry fee charged.
